 RVBatonRouge Appraisal (March 2007)
This campground is not a recommended "quick" overnight stop. Although travel from the Interstate exit to the Mississippi River requires no turns until the left turn at the river levee, it will take approximately 30 minutes, or more, to travel through the center of Baton Rouge to the campground. Lengthly RVs should excercise caution when crossing a high "hump" railroad crossing mid-way to the campground.

The campground is basically very plain, but adequate, with 79 grass sites (70 pull-thrus) and gravel interior roads. Electricity is 30 amps, no sewer hook-ups, and grey water on the ground is not permitted. The redeeming factor is that the campground is close to LSU and in great demand during sporting events and horse related activities.
